CarGurus launched in the US nine years ago and has gone from strength to strength, becoming the market leader. It has now expanded into Canada and the UK, with plans to branch out further in Europe. Already the car sales website has seen dealerships in the UK sign up for the paid service, which offers more benefits but Steinert explained that they are invested in the UK market and not currently focussed on turning a profit immediately.
With around 200,000 cars currently on the UK CarGurus website, Steinert told Rebecca that the trends they are seeing are, in fact, far ahead of what they found in the US market.
